Abstract

Our description of the subatomic world is extremely good, as long as we confine ourselves to particles we can find or produce on Earth. At the cosmological level, however, things get much more interesting: only 5% of the total content of the universe is composed of the particles we can describe so well. In this talk I will discuss the evidence we have of the remaining "dark component" of the universe, discussing its properties and the ongoing effort in understanding it better.
