Strong growth in Unimore enrolments in the 2024/25 academic year

In the current academic year, which saw the final closing of enrolment in December 2024, Unimore recorded a marked increase in the number of enrolled students compared to the previous year, with a growth of + 5.4 %.

This is a much better result than the average figure for the national academic system, which sees freshmen rising by around 1%.

Specifically for Unimore, there are 8,687 matriculated students for the academic year 2024/25: 4,716 women and 3,971 men.

This is an important increase that rewards the University's constant work not only in guaranteeing quality teaching, but also in offering excellent employment opportunities to its graduates.

This is confirmed by the latest AlmaLaurea Report, which for Unimore once again shows employment rates higher than the regional and national average and an average salary for first- and second-level graduates that continues to rise, highlighting how a quality training experience and the skills acquired during the degree programme can have a very positive influence on job prospects and salary levels.

One year after graduating with a three-year degree, the employment rate, which considers employed all those who are engaged in a paid activity, work or training, stands at 81.9%, while the figures for second-level (or master's) graduates show an employment rate of 84.8% one year after graduation (against a national average of 75.7% and regional average of 79.1%), a percentage that rises significantly five years after graduation, at 91.3% (national average 88.2% and regional average 89.6%).

A curiosity: the enrolment figures, when broken down by gender, show that the number of enrolled women grew more than twice as fast as the number of enrolled men: +7.43% for enrolled women compared to + 2.93% for enrolled men.

Choosing a university,’ comments Unimore's Magnificent Rector, Prof. Carlo Adolfo Porro , ’is always an act of trust, towards the institution and towards the future that one wishes to build. The numbers recorded this year tell of a university capable of being a point of reference for those seeking real opportunities, a solid training environment and concrete tools to face the challenges of tomorrow. Unimore's results, on the other hand, speak for themselves: employment rates above the regional and national averages, and academic courses that know how to hold together preparation and professional prospects. This is evidence that a quality education creates value, both for individuals and for the community. We look to the future with the ambition to grow further, in a sustainable manner and with the aim of confirming ourselves as a valuable choice for those who wish to build their own tomorrows'.

In order to consolidate this important growth trend in enrolment, the University's Departments are already ready to present themselves to future freshmen at the annual orientation initiative ‘Unimore Orienta’, scheduled for 19 February 2025 for the streaming presentation of the Bachelor's and Combined Bachelor and Master's degree programmes and 18 and 19 March for the presentation, also in streaming, of the Master's degree programmes.

Registrations are already being accepted on the University website:
