The Geophysical Observatory Organises Guided Tours in Support of the Kabara Lagdaf Association

The Unimore Geophysical Observatory, which belongs to the Unimore Museum Complex and the Enzo Ferrari Department of Engineering and is housed in the east tower of the Ducal Palace in Modena, will hold an extraordinary opening on Saturday 7 December, with guided tours by appointment only, in support of the Kabara Lagdaf association, which has been working in the Saharawi refugee camps for years.
Four guided tours (10.30, 11.30, 14.30 and 15.30) will be organised for the occasion, when it will be possible to climb up to the Observatory tower to admire the historical and scientific heritage housed inside and at the same time learn about the activities of the Kabara Lagdaf Association.
In addition to the Observatory staff, the team from the Modena Polyclinic, who recently participated in a paediatric surgery mission in the refugee camps, will also be present. At the end of each tour, it will be possible to leave a free offer to support the missions in aid of the Sahrawi people, with a particular focus on children. To participate, reservations are required by emailing: ossgeo@unimore.it
The Observatory is located at Piazza Roma 22, near the East Tower of Palazzo Ducale (the right tower when facing the building). Please arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled tour time. Please note that there are approximately 150 steps to reach the top of the tower, and no lifts or devices are available for visitors with reduced mobility.
