Student Margherita Laganà selected for the role of EU Career Student Ambassador

In 2024, Margherita Laganà, a student enrolled in the Master's degree programme LACOM - Languages for Communication in International Enterprises and Organisations at the Department of Studies on Language and Culture, was selected to take on the role of "EU Career Student Ambassador".

From October 4th to 6th, during a stay in Brussels organised by EPSO, the recruitment office for European institutions, she had the opportunity to attend a training session that provided all the necessary information to understand how to organise her activities at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

"This role, which I will hold until July 2025, will allow me to focus on promoting career opportunities within the European Union among students at our university. It is a unique opportunity to engage with something that is often perceived as too abstract and distant from us. The EU is much closer than we think, and my task is to make other students understand how easy it is to join European institutions."

With these words, Margherita described the importance of her role in promoting job and internship opportunities available at the European level. Specifically, this involves participating in and organising events designed to inform and engage students about career opportunities within European institutions, sparking their interest in an international career and helping to make the European Union a viable option for the professional future of many young people.

Further information is available on the Instagram page "@eucareers.italy", managed by Margherita in collaboration with other Italian ambassadors.
