At the Department of Law a discussion on legal argumentation and methodologies

The lecture is organised, in collaboration with the Interdepartmental Centre on Discrimination and Vulnerability - CRID Unimore, as part of the Fundamentals of Regulatory Argumentation programme. The seminar is scheduled for Friday 22 November, at 12 noon, and will be based on Prof. Velluzzi's recent volume, Metodologia e diritto civile. Una prospettiva filosofica (Carocci, 2023).

This fifth appointment ,’ says Prof. Zanetti, ‘ will be a valuable opportunity for students of the Fundamentals of Regulatory Argumentation programme, as it will allow them to explore in depth some central issues of the Civil Code.

'The seminar - explains Prof. Zanetti - through an eminent expert as Prof. Velluzzi, aims to offer an in-depth analysis of some typical civil law cases, such as the interpretation of the contract, the judgement of the merits of interests, the abuse of law and the contract in fraud to the third party. The legal-philosophical perspective adopted will make it possible to detect and reinterpret the meanings of the legal definitions and the underlying social practices'.

The scientific coordination: Prof. Gianfrancesco Zanetti, Prof. Thomas Casadei, Prof. Gianluigi Fioriglio, and Prof. Rosaria Pirosa.

The scientific-organisational secretariat: Dr. Gianluca Gasparini, Dr. Claudia Severi, Dr. Marco Mondello, Dr. Casimiro Coniglione  (segreteria.crid@unimore.it).
