Two welcome days for freshmen, Oct. 12 in Modena and Oct. 13 in Reggio Emilia

Unimore is organising two welcome days dedicated to the freshmen of the 2024/25 academic year, to be held on Saturday 12 October in Modena, at the San Geminiano Complex, and Sunday 13 October in Reggio Emilia, at the Reggiane Parco Innovazione (hall 17), again starting at 6 p.m. and closing at 11 p.m.

It will not only be an opportunity for many young people to celebrate the start of their university career, but there will also be numerous stands from student associations, the University management and the Unimore Choir, providing a wide range of information related to university life.

Freshmen will be able to have direct contact with students in the years following their first year, for example, on Whatsapp groups where they can talk to each other and to representatives of the University, to ask questions related to study courses, career opportunities, but also on how to look for books in the University Library System, how to use the institutional e-mail, how to participate in seminars and everything else that concerns the daily life of a student at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Finally, the young people will have the opportunity to gather information on Unimore's student associations, find out more about what they do, the services they offer and how they can join. The following desks will be present: Associazione degli Studenti Africani a Modena (Asam), Azione Universitaria, Elsa More - The European Law Students' Association, Esn - Modena – Ets, Jemore, Segretariato Italiano Studenti in Medicina Aps (Sism) Unione Universitaria – Udu More Aps.

There will also be stations dedicated to: Ergo, Informagiovani Offices of the Municipalities of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Emilia Romagna Teatro ERT / Teatro Nazionale, Copresc voluntary civil service Modena, Cus More, Fai, Radio FSC-Unimore and Avis.

From 7 p.m. there will be performances by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia Choir and African dance: Bamileke-Betsi- Bassa and a band; at 9.30 p.m. DJ set by SebiAlo (Sebastiano Aloscari). On both evenings there will be refreshment stands where food and drinks can be purchased.
