Unimore is one of the eight European partners of the UNIgreen project

During an international meeting held at the Research and Higher Education Academy in Ličge, the eight European universities partners of the AGR-EU network - Growing Agro-related Universities through EU collaboration (Universities related to Agriculture), including Unimore, have signed an agreement with the aim of establishing, in the long term, a leading European inter-university campus in university education and research in the areas of Agro, Green, Biotech and Life Science.

The project, which takes the name of Unigreen, involves, together with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the University of Almerķa (Spain) - coordinator of the network -, the High School of Ličge (Belgium), the University of Life Sciences of Warsaw (Poland), the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portugal), the University of Agriculture of Plovdiv (Bulgaria), the University of Agriculture of Iceland, and the Sup'Biotech Institute of Paris.

The partnership is based on the idea of bringing together the individual experiences of all the members of the consortium in terms of teaching, research, innovation and good practice, to enable the creation of a European University in the field of agriculture and life sciences, with the establishment of innovative, multidisciplinary and flexible and joint educational paths, without neglecting the research aspect.

The proposal will be officially presented to the European Commission on 23 March.
