Increasing face-to-face teaching activities at Unimore

On the same days when the first welcome meetings  for new students began, important decisions were made on how Unimore teaching activity will be organised.

Indeed, the University’s Academic Senate and Board of Directors have decided to resume all face-to-face teaching activities on the second semester of a.y. 2020/21, compatibly with the development of the pandemic situation and always for the sake of a needed contextualisation of the decisions in terms of the universities’ logistic and organisational aspects. The availability of remote lectures will be guaranteed anyway.

The second semester is expected to start between 8 and 15 March 2021, based on modes that will be communicated later on.

This decision is in line with the bodies’ approvals made before the summer.

Sure enough, for the first semester and in light of the instructions provided by the Ministry for University and Research, and subject to the logistics and available areas, Unimore has adopted a mixed teaching activity, by guaranteeing the opportunity to access remote lectures for all Programmes and for the entire a.y. 2020/21.

As we know, the activities carried out in face-to face mode on this semester and always ensuring the observance of all safety regulations are individual or small group activities, including laboratory, internship, experience activities, post-graduation teaching and post-graduation seminar activities, student reception or other activities that are essential to the obtainment of training objectives.

In addition, the graduation sessions scheduled in autumn may take place face-to-face, ensuring that ceremonies are organised in accordance with the safety protocols and by preventing gatherings.
