Angela O'Hagan - visiting professor at the Marco Biagi Department of Economics
Has gender equality been integrated into public policy decision-making? and in particular in economic policy and public finance decisions? Does gender budgeting offer a realistic alternative to policy change, or are there other approaches that might better respond to the current challenges of ensuring greater gender equality? A scholar whom Unimore will host as a visiting professor at the Marco Biagi Department of Economics and the Marco Biagi Foundation will try to answer these questions.
This is Professor Angela O'Hagan, professor at the Department of Social Sciences at Glasgow Caledonian University, coordinator of the Master of Sciences in Human Rights and deputy director of the interdisciplinary Center WiSE - Center for Economic justice.
Her research and teaching activities focus on gender equality, human rights, public policies and gender budgets. His seminars will focus on the latter, on theoretical approaches, experiences and resistance in institutions, and on gender equality in Research Performing Organizations as part of the Work, Development and Innovation PhD seminar cycle, as part of the DEMB department seminars and within the GE&PA project which will be held between November and December at the Marco Biagi Department of Economics and the Marco Biagi Foundation
The last two seminars will be held
