Undisputed primacy for Unimore: national leader in employability among large state universities, according to the Censis ranking

The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia scores exceptionally well in the Censis 2023/2024 ranking, strengthening its leading role in the Italian academic landscape. The university also stands out for the quality of teaching offered in the various subject areas. The excellent performance of the degree programmes confirms the effectiveness of the University's educational approach, with a teaching offering geared towards the needs of the world of work and with a strong link to the local area.

In the opening week of enrolments for the new academic year, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia reconfirms its position as the leader in the employability of graduates in the annual ranking compiled by Censis.

The top score of 105 out of 110 testifies to the university's top position in offering job opportunities for male and female students.

In detail, the Censis (Centro Studi Investimenti Sociali) ranking of Italian universities provides a detailed analysis of the university system, taking into consideration various parameters, including services provided, scholarships, level of internationalisation, communication, digital services and, indeed, employability.

In this last parameter, Unimore emerges as the undisputed leader, ahead of highly prestigious universities and all regional universities of equal size.

In addition to this initial ranking, there is the ranking of the groupings of three-year degree classes, single-cycle programmes and two-year master's degrees according to student career progression and international relations.

Here, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia collects a second and two third places: the medical and pharmaceutical subject group, which includes the degree programmes of the health professions, ranks second in Italy for teaching quality among three-year degrees.

The linguistic subject group, which includes degree programmes in modern languages and cultures and language mediation, comes in third place.

Among single-cycle master's degrees, the Law degree programme remains, as it has for many years now, at the top of the list, ranking third in Italy.

Maintaining high standards of employability,” comments Unimore Rector Prof. Carlo Adolfo Porro, “is a source of pride for all of us. This element, in fact, has been instrumental in positioning our university as one of the most attractive on the national scene. The Censis recognition is the result of an unwavering commitment and dedication to quality, both in academic terms and in terms of career paths."

"The close relationship with the local and regional socio-economic fabric," continues the Rector, "allows our students to have direct contact with the world of work, further enhancing opportunities for employability and, most importantly, good salaries. The aim is to train professionals ready to meet the challenges of the future, rooted in the local and national reality but ready to operate in an increasingly international context."

And hence the enrolment period for Unimore's open-access three-year degree and single-cycle degree programmes for the 2022-2023 academic year started yesterday 12 July.
