Unimore researcher Marco Manfredini awarded as best researcher under 40 in Dermatology

A young researcher in Dermatology from the Surgical, Medical, Dental and Morphological Sciences Department with Transplantology, Oncology and Regenerative Medicine Interest (CHIMOMO) of Unimore, Marco Manfredini, has received the prestigious “Paolo Carli” award, instituted by the Italian Association of Non-Invasive Diagnostics in Dermatology (AIDNID) to reward the best scientific profile among young researchers in dermatology under 40 in Italy.

Mr Manfredini, a researcher in Dermatology at the Dermatology Clinic of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia directed by Prof. Manuela Simoni, has been dealing for years with dermatological pathologies with a high social impact such as hydrosadenitis suppurativa, psoriasis and acne, going into numerous basic physiopathological aspects in depth, also by means of innovative early and non-invasive diagnostic techniques.

‘It is a source of pride for our department that Mr Manfredini has received such a prestigious award, which rewards talented young researchers who are so important for the growth of science within the University,’ Prof. Ugo Consolo, Director of the CHIMOMO Department, commented.
